Gigli International Opera is a non-profit arts organization founded in 2022 by a group of classical music performers and university professors. Our mission is to promote exceptional vocal music through public performances, mentoring, direct scholarships, and educational programs for vocalists. Therefore, GIO announces its first Scholarship Competition to promote talented singers throughout the world. All winners will receive $1,000 cash prize, certificate, and opportunity to perform at the Gigli International Opera Gala Concert on October 1 at Bender JCC – Kreeger Auditorium.
Restrictions and Age Limit
The audition is open to all nationalities from all countries. No upper age limit. All voice types are encouraged to apply.

Materials Required
To apply for the audition, participants must submit:
1. Completed Online Application Form
2. Resume (one page)
3. Headshot (photo)
4. Two contrasting YouTube links to video performance
5. $35 Application fee (Zelle, Venmo, Paypal, Check)
Fill out online application form with 2 YouTube links, and return the resume and headshot by email to info@gigliopera.org
Requirements
1. Two contrasting operatic arias.
2. There is no language requirement but encouraged to submit more than one language.
3. The videos can be made using cameras, cell phones, tablets, or any professional recording systems/devices.
4. The videos must be posted on YouTube and set to Public or Not listed, and it is recommended to keep the video viewable at least until the end of this opportunity.
Procedures
1. Panel of judges will review videos submitted by all applicants and choose four winners. If selected for the winners, you must perform at Gigli International Opera Gala Concert on Sunday, October 1 at Bender JCC – Kreeger Auditorium (6125 Montrose Rd. Rockville, MD 20852) to receive a cash prize.
2. Winners and alternates will be notified by September 10 or earlier.
3. Opera Gala Concert will be open to public, and the pianist will be provided. The award ceremony will be held at the end of the concert. Winners must present at the concert and award ceremony in order to receive the prizes. Winners will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation if needed. Partial travel funds might be available.
Prizes
All winners will receive:

- Opportunity to perform at the Gigli International Opera Gala Concert on October 1 at Bender JCC – Kreeger Auditorium
